On July 8-10, 2016, thirty-three young adults from across the United States and Puerto
Rico attended the first Journey to the Table at The Upper Room in Nashville,
Tennessee.

“The first Journey to the Table was a time of meaningful conversation, worship, andIMG_0328
growth for all involved,” said Geoffrey Parker, Journey to the Table Program Manager and chief architect of the program’s design.

“We want Journey to the Table to be useful in ministries throughout the world, and we’re confident that our first Journey to the Table prepared participants for success in this endeavor.”

Journey to the Table seeks to create safe spaces for young adults to engage in faith-
based conversations about their lives. Future events will be held by campus
ministries, young adult ministries in local churches, and Emmaus communities around
the world.

“The Journey to the Table weekend was a great experience,” said Mario, a participant
in the JTT kick-off weekend.

“It was cool to be inIMG_0364 community with a group of young adults and to experience God together. I hope others get to enjoy this experience in the future.”
